Named for the lake in France where this form was found. Quick increasing nivalis with broad markings on the inner segments.
A G. elwesii selection with two flower stems from each bulb. Olive green markings on the inner segments.
Similar to the cultivar 'Merlin' but a bit smaller in stature. In the 1960s selected by E.B. Anderson. This hybrid with gracilis genes is still very highly regarded.
This is another old cultivar which was "rediscovered" in the early 1970s. A very garden-worthy cultivar.
